S.M. Lockridge on Creation

Dr. Shadrach Meshach Lockridge was the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, San Diego CA from 1953 - 1993. He entered heaven in 2000. He had the most wonderful cadence and expression to his preaching. This is how he described the creation of the universe as only Dr. Lockridge could do.

“The reason God came from nowhere, was there was nowhere for Him to come from. And coming from nowhere, He stood on nothing for there was nowhere for Him to stand. And standing on nothing, He reached out where there was nowhere to reach and caught something where there was nothing to catch, and hung something on nothing, and told it to stay there.”

Hi Bob,

I actually heard Lockridge preach when I was in seminary. I can't remember if it was at the seminary or at a conference.

He was a beautiful man of God.

I have heard "My KING", for the first time this year. It brought tears to my eyes. I now listen to it every day.

What a joyful noise to my ears.

I have been a fan of Dr. Lockridges "My King" for about a year and listen to it often. I truly look forward to meeting him in the Kingdom of Heaven.

I heard Dr. Lockridge preach that massage,"The Lordship of Christ" while I attended Dallas Baptist University in 1970. Latter just before he went to be with the Lord, I had the privileged to talk to him on the phone, concerning this very message. You can hear Dr. Lockridge preach it today on my site on Veetle.
